If your family is resistant, try sneaking a little store brand into an existing depleted name brand bottle to make the change a little easier. Chances are, they won't even notice, and you can point this out if they balk when you toss that cheaper shampoo, soap, or toothpaste into the cart on your next shopping trip.
3. Big Stores, Big Savings
When it comes to big-box stores like Sam's and Costco, be aware that not everything is a good deal. If you're the sort that is good at planning, make a note of how much your local grocery store is asking for ten of your most-used food items and take it along the next time you're headed to a big box store for comparison. These stores are, however, an excellent place for non-food items like toilet paper and paper towels, as well as some medicines and toiletries. You don't even have to pay for a membership! All you have to do is find a friend with a membership, give them some money, and ask them to buy you a gift card for the store in any denomination - this will not only gain you entry, but will allow you to check out and pay any difference in cash. On your way out, be sure to see if your location has a snack bar, food like whole pizza pies are typically very, very cheap here and a great option for nights when you don't want to cook but can't afford typical fast food.

Transform your two single strollers into a working twin stroller with this set of three stroller connectors. Made of sturdy molded plastic, the 7.5-inch-long connectors are pre-assembled and easy to attach. Four rubber grip pads and two lock tabs hold each of the three connectors securely in place once they have been aligned properly, squeezed together, and "clicked" into a locked position.
